Job Description :

The Events Account Director is responsible for growing the client portfolio revenue and developing skills and expertise within the team.


Responsibilities:

Supervise and manage assigned retainer/non-retainer client accounts as per agreed yearly revenue target
Work with the Events Director to develop concepts and prepare presentations, pitches, creative and client interfacing, brainstorming, line production, and other aspects of event production
Playing a key role in costing and putting together the financials for proposals
Keep abreast of industry trends and advancements and provide state of the art services; maintain knowledge of creative marketing trends and best practices
Set design parameters and stylistic guidelines consistent with project requirements
Coordinate and supervise the activities of personnel, subcontractors, venues and vendors as required to successfully execute the assigned events and event production set ups with budgetary control
Provide information and guidance to clients and deliver accurate event specifications to team
Implement new ideas for all events categories
Manage the design and production of venue set-up diagrams as needed
Supervise setup crew; develop, implement, maintain and enforce operational procedures; and perform other duties as may be required
Oversee all event planning estimates for project scope, schedule, and resource requirements ensuring programs are properly budgeted, estimated and scheduled
Actively meet new clients and present agency credentials and portfolio
Prepare event technical and financial proposals
Develop, sell and promote sponsorship proposals as needed
Communicate and coordinate with the Creative team on artwork
Communicate and coordinate with other Business Units’ concerned staff on joint accounts, cross- selling initiatives, and tender/RFP submissions
Manage the team’s workload; prepare action plans and follow up on execution with the team
Coordinate with third party suppliers for event production requirements as needed
Prepare and regularly update event production checklists
Deliver progress and sales reports to the Events Director
Perform other duties as instructed

Previous Experience:

Minimum 10 years in Event Management capacities, the last 3 years of which in senior client servicing position
Minimum 3 years’ experience in UAE
Multi sector experience with focus on Public Sector highly preferred
Past multinational/regional agency experience a must
Previous specialized training and/or certification is a plus
Experience in costing / financials while responding to RFPs is a mandatory
