Job Description :

The job holder is responsible for the supervision, management, administration, installations and maintenance of Unix based server infrastructure including Unix Operating System, Virtual infrastructure, hardware, high availability, infrastructure applications and security of UNIX systems in accordance with bank’s IT quality, security policy and regulations.


Key Responsibilities

Analyze and verify the requirements for completeness, consistency, comprehensibility, feasibility for infrastructure and projects requirement as per the standards.
Working with IT Projects team to develop business cases for consolidation/ Tech refresh projects. Design specification diagram, plan flow charts for projects team understanding. Translate conceptual user requirement into technical requirements in comprehensible format.
Identifying and analyzing processes, procedures, work practice and document them for standard operations along with other project specific documents require for planning, procurement, designing, implementations and technical users guide.
Performing technical research on optimal designing for effective utilization of resources, process improvements, and technical enhancements including optimization, consolidations, and automation.
Guide team technically in its ICT activities to produce planned and timely outcome within the approved budget.
Participating in weekly meetings with IT Team to discuss project/ tasks status, any related concerns, remediation and other. Provide feedback and assistance in the System project reviews and process.
Working as a team member with different project teams, technical teams and IT architecture team to formulate and document project architectural requirements. Identifying, investigating and analyzing processes and procedure for clear system specifications, design and development of Systems.
Performing project management for projects directly manage by System Admin team from initial planning phase till the project completion along with time and resource management.
Taking responsibilities of implementation of Solutions and Systems along with test plans to ensure quality and integrity of the solution.
Providing support and liaising with different IT sections for a service continuity/business continuity with Proper crisis management and disaster recovery procedures to minimize downtime.
Providing audit and IS queries input, closure and evidences in coordination with IT QA team in a timely manner.
Manage AMCs, Contracts, budgeting and vendors related to Systems.
Control the budget and expenditures of the department, company or project based on the infrastructure analysis.
Supervise System Administrators and oversee their professional development and training.
Participate in the interviews and evaluation process for hiring new resources for the team
All the above accountabilities includes but not limited to any additional/new tasks or responsibilities assigned by the line Manager.


Experience Required:

Min Bachelor degree in computer Science or equivalent
Minimum 6 years of experience.
