Job Summary:
This role encompasses the following main areas of responsibility:
Single point of contact for all channels marketing activities for National Geographic Abu Dhabi, National Geographic Abu Dhabi Kids, Fox Pay TV, Fox+ and Disney Channel multiplex
Setting strategic direction and priorities for all channels, and overseeing the development and execution of all MENA channels marketing campaigns; ensuring plans are aligned to core Disney business objectives
Development of positive relationships with all key channel partners and stakeholders
Internal conduit between channels marketing and other LOB’s
Management of creative, media & PR agencies
Responsibilities:
Campaign Management:
Development of metric-driven campaign briefs with consideration of XLOB priorities, key stakeholder inputs, deal agreement compliance & budgets
Conduit between programming & scheduling, media planning, research and ad sales for all channels marketing activities
Management of creative, media and PR agencies; and other relevant stakeholders
Lead and execute approved campaigns per the agreed KPI’s; ensuring effective tracking and optimization of the campaign
Relay all key channel plans to local MENA team, ensuring schedules and marketing campaigns are aligned to MENA business priorities
Approval of partner marketing materials and facilitation ofmarketing collateral approvals with APAC/US internal counterparts where needed
Close collaboration and planning with programming and production teams (internal or external) to manage all workstreams and deliverables for each campaign
Post-campaign reporting of results to all key stakeholders
Affiliate management:
Management of all key partner/affiliate relationships – acting as main local point of contact for all channels marketing and ensuring regular contact with partners
Oversee and lead all marketing collateral support required by affiliates
Track usage and impact of the assets shared; and report to key internal and external stakeholders on results
Priority plotting and workshops
Digital, Social Media & PR:
Development of digital and social media marketing strategies, with identification and roll out of key priorities and messages for all channels; considering requirements/ priorities by channel, affiliate, market and ad sales potential
Guide creative agency to develop creative assets that achieve required engagement metrics
Ensure tracking and optimization of assets’ engagement using automation and predictive tools
Reporting (on agreed intervals) of the impact of digital and social campaigns to all relevant parties
Brand Management / Advisory
Providing local specialist insight – cultural guidance, local nuances, translations etc. – to all relevant team members across the Disney network
Consultation - use expertise and knowledge of partner platforms to make recommendations for improvements to current partner marketing approach/practices
Ensuring all channel marketing activities comply with brand regulations
Budget management
Managing annual channels marketing budget (both internal and any joint marketing budgets with select affiliates) - liaising with all key partners/ stakeholders and utilizing budget for maximum exposure
Management of billing /invoicing / finance reconciliation
Providing visibility at all times of budget internally and managing quarterly forecasts.
Briefing of all external agencies on campaign budget and metrics; and reporting on ROI when required
Use of analytical marketing tools to report on performance of campaigns
Reporting on results/findings to all stakeholders on agreed timelines
EPG and Metadata Support:
Manage development and distribution of EPG and metadata assets in a smooth, timely and cost effective manner
Basic Qualifications:
Proven Experience (8+years) in marketing, preferably 4+ in MENA
Extensive knowledge of media, digital and broadcast marketing practices
Experience in managing creative, advertising, PR and/or media buying agencies
Excellent project management capability
Experience working in complex team environments
Qualifications:
Degree in relevant subject
Languages:
Fluent in written and spoken English and Arabic
Skill Required:
Excellent relationship management skills; and strong diplomatic and negotiation skills
Able to work autonomously; self-starter
