Abu Dhabi Ports is expanding. We are looking for experienced Managers in the area of Business Development to drive this growth.

The job purpose of the Business Development Manager is to:

Research
? Support teams to analyze data to map target markets (trends across industries, geographies, services) and customers to develop and draw strategic insight
? Build on insight to define markets and business opportunities to attract clients, and build viable and growing revenue streams
Business development
? Identify and/or create opportunities for economic and commercial value creation through the development of new businesses / geographies and expansions of established Abu Dhabi Ports capabilities, assets and clients
? Responsible for strategic fit evaluation of corporate and BU opportunities to help define internal priorities and target shortlists, tracking and reporting on overall pipeline
? Is responsible for the initiation and management of commercial and business models development for the purpose of seeking approval for business opportunities at an executive management level
? Actively translates business targets and budgets into tangible plans and action items
Performance monitoring and reporting
? Supporting role in project pipeline analysis and reporting, liaising with stakeholders and providing comprehensive summaries
? Responsible to track, monitor and report on strategic initiatives and progress against plans
? Oversee and support research teams in benchmarking and analysis of relevant industries and corporate competitors
? Oversees monitoring of the commercial performance of existing ports, industrial and Freezones & marine services companies and compares results against agreed benchmarks and KPIs. Initiates corrective action where required.
? Oversees monitoring of pricing, market share development and commercial performance of competing and companies.
? Act as sparring partner for research teams to test hypotheses and data-driven insight, and develop logical an insightful storylines for senior company and government stakeholders
? Key stakeholder and integrator across ADPorts BUs, growing relationships and rapport to limit silo thinking
Team guidance and support

? Works closely with Finance, Corporate, and strategic stakeholders across 5 BUs
Professional Competencies
• Requires at least five (5) years relevant experience in the Maritime Transportation or strategic roles in related industries. Must come with sufficient operational understanding
• Must have excellent interpersonal skills; the ability to develop relationships with internal stakeholders and team members, presenting him-/ her-self in a professional, respectful manner at all times.
• Requires excellent analytical skills and the ability to think strategically, analyzing data, extracting insight and presenting structured, story-lined (PowerPoint) presentation material.
• Requires strong time management and organizational skills
• Must be able to work independently without supervision

Educational and Technical Qualifications:
Requires a Bachelor degree (minimum); Marine, Business or economics highly valued
