Job Description :

The role requires the successful candidate to generate and lead initiatives and engage with potential business partners within the GCC to build new business for the organisation. This candidate requires strong business communication skills in written and spoken Arabic as well as being fluent in English. They should be able to think critically and have a proven ability to execute a particular strategy in a corporate or governmental setting. Retail business development experience is not suitable for this role.

Responsibilities

Identify policy maker and/or organisations that have influence on National Digital Literacy Initiatives within governments, schools and universities
Establish a strategic relationship with the identified key organisations to serve these communities in building a digital society
Work closely with internal departments in governments, education zones, education councils and university faculty in the region to create new projects to further digital literacy
Create and maintain those relationships to encourage feedback and alignment of the ICDL programme to governmental and academic requirements in the region
Understand and represent effectively the policies and procedures of the ICDL Digital Literacy Standard
Develop and implement new digital literacy programmes as introduced to the region

Qualifications

A minimum of 5 years experience in corporate or governmental business development which includes face to face meetings. Please note that retail experience will not be considered
Excellent written and verbal business communication skills in Arabic and English languages.
Possess strong interpersonal skills, excellent organisation skills and ability to prioritise projects and workload.
Ability to make a positive impression on others by being professional. helpful, responsive, and diplomatic
Must have proven experience in communicating at the highest levels of government and organisations to obtain information pertaining to creating projects.
Ability to present and explain points of view clearly and logically
Possess strong computer skills and online research skills
Must be detail-oriented, self motivated, goal oriented, and show proof of achievements
Holder of passport which facilitates easy travel throughout the GCC countries without the need for additional visas.
