Job Description :

Our client is currently looking for a Government Public Policy Manager in Dubai



Build up relationships with local Government, NGO and Academia in UAE and other selected GCC markets to support the growth of the company
Ensure regular contacts with policy makers and advisors in order to understand their vision, priorities and latest regulatory requirements.
Build up long-term strategic relationships with local partners and launch joint projects that feeds into government/NGO strategic priorities and company mission/vision.
Work with internal teams together to shape the strategic, actionable plan and develop product features and content standards in line with respective Governments' regulations and frameworks.
Actively identify emerging and significant policy issues in these regional markets and engage with stakeholders and experts on issues of importance.
Monitor political and social events in the region, and work with local teams to mitigate operational risks.
Communicate with local scholars, academic institutions and provide interpretation of policy and regulations.

Job Requirements:

10 years of demonstrated experience managing public policy and/or government relations, advocacy work and goverment/private sector partnerships
3-5 years of work experience in local government or a public policy team of a global internet company is preferred;
A vast understanding of the GCC region content market and the social media industry.
Keen understanding of the GCC region political system, environment and institutions, as well as cultural landscape.
Solid network with the GCC policy-makers, the academia, and the technology industry;
Interest in emerging technologies and policy work;
Outstanding judgment, persuasive and lobbying skills, creativity, and the ability to work in a dynamic environment;
Proficient skills in Arabic and English languages and possess strong program and project management skills
Education background in law or public policy is a plus.
