Job Description :

Qanawat has a need for a qualified Copyright Legal Officer to be responsible to a variety of intellectual property matters, to include (but not limited to) those involving copyright, patent and trademark preparation, licensing, and other online and offline related legal support to Qanawat.

What is essential is you should be sharp, a great communicator, be able to pick things up quickly, have great judgment, be hands-on about everything you do, be a top problem solver with excellent follow-up skills, be a self-starter and pay excellent attention to detail.

Job Responsibilities:

Drafting and preparing legal documents related to copyright and related rights, including contracts, agreements, terms and conditions, and others as requested.
Drafting legislative advice related to international and national copyright and related rights protection.
Conducting legal research and providing legal opinions in different copyright laws.
Drafting copyright policy and guidelines, responding to inquiries related to copyrighted materials, and updating and applying copyright company guidelines.
Represent the company at various international copyright management meetings and conferences to keep abreast with the current international laws.
Performing other related duties as required.

Job Competencies:

Bachelor’s Degree in Law; WIPO Certified preferred or Certificate in Copyright and/or Intellectual Property Law
3 – 5+ years of relevant professional experience in the field of Intellectual Property Law and Practice
Excellent English and Arabic written and spoken communication
Strong background and experience in MENA Copyright Legal Laws with preference to online laws.
Experience conducting legal research in the field of copyright and related rights.
Experience in providing legal advice regarding copyright law, intellectual property law and/or international treaties.
Strong organisation, communication, prioritization and time management skills to work within strict deadlines.
A team player and people manager, but possesses the ability to work independently, think critically and find creative solutions
Excellent understanding and experience of the social media, online copyright, YouTube and other related platforms.
Analytical, with the ability to interpret information, news and data quickly in order to extract the most important and relevant information.
High attention to detail.
Excellent follow up and reporting skills.
