• Prepares construction/shop/working drawings by studying architectural drawings, specifications, and supporting documents.

• Fully understands the project details and requirements, by being fully aware of the drawings and specifications.

• Checks team members’ shop drawings and creates redlines for correction.

• Resolves discrepancies by collecting information and proposing solutions.

• Develops conceptual sketches into good for construction drawings. Ability to hand sketch is a plus.

• Generates construction method statements for installation / attachment of architectural products

• Analyze incoming projects prior to cost estimation

• Compute and quantify technical data (surface areas, volumes, etc) from received architectural drawings for cost estimation purposes

• Prepares bill of quantities

• Performs technical inspections (check measurements, etc) of production to ensure conformity with agreed technical details

• Performs site visits on an as needed basis to check on progress and ensure that the installation of architectural items is being done accurately.

• Checks as-built measurements on site to ensure conformity with the working drawings. Update working drawings if required.

• Meets with clients to discuss project technical requirements, working drawings, etc.

• Works closely with the Senior Architect and the Production Manager.

• Coordinates and cooperates with colleagues and other departments.

Job Requirements:
• Degree in architecture.
• At least 4 years job experience preferably in an architectural production firm that produces architectural elements (in GRP/GRC). Experience in the theming industry is ideal.
• Very proficient in Autocad. Knowledge of 3D autocad, sketchup and any other 3D programs are a plus.
• Proficient in Microsoft Excel and good knowledge of Microsoft Word and Powerpoint.
• Ability to hand sketch is a plus.
• Knowledge of working with GRP / GRC / EIFS is a plus
• Fluent in English.

• Able to delegate, train, and monitor junior architects
• Patient, hardworking, and comes up with creative solutions to problems.
• Able to work under pressure
• Neat, tidy, presentable
