The Role
The Geostatistician will be involved in performing mineral resource estimates, which are compliant with NI 43-101, JORC and other regulatory agencies, and providing geological support for due diligence reviews, preliminary assessments, pre-feasibility and feasibility studies.

Key Duties and Responsibilities
- Providing technical support on a wide range of projects, including hands-on completion of projects and a focus on high quality documentation of project work;
- Geostatistical analysis and modelling,
- Resource estimation;
- Auditing (reviews through to due diligence);
- Completing Technical reports, documents and proposals;
- Project Management;
- Coordinate with the global Ore Evaluations Service networks, which includes specialists both nationally and internationally

Requirements
- BSc Degree in Geological Sciences (or equivalent); Post-Graduate qualification in a related subject;
- A qualification in Geostatistics, preferably with an earth science background; QP/CPR status
- 10-12 years of experience actively working in mining operations, preferably Phosphate mining.
- Experience in performing mineral resource estimates to JORC or NI 43-101 standards;
- Experience in the management of fieldwork, data management and assessment of results;
- High level of competency with geostatistical, 3D geological modelling and mining software, such as Vulcan, Datamine and/or Isatis;
- Knowledge of the principles and practice of resource estimation, geostatistics and quality assurance/control;
- Exploratory data analysis, variography and resource estimation using linear and non-linear techniques;
- Extensive experience in exploration and/or mining;
- Experience in technical reviews and due diligence studies, either as independent reports or within a multi-disciplinary team working on feasibility studies, expansion studies, optimization or operations support;
- Conditional simulation for risk analysis, sampling optimization, model validation and grade control

- Strong negotiating ability and effective communication skills.
- Excellent relationship building skills (internal and external)
- Strong work ethic and be able to adhere to company, policies, and standard business etiquette.
- Establishment of strong network of suppliers and vendors
- Excellent written, verbal and presentation skills in English required,
- Self-starter with minimal supervision for routine activities.
- Extensive computer skills in using Microsoft software (Word, Excel, PowerPoint, etc.) plus other software pertinent to the work performed would be advantageous.
