The Role
An exciting opportunity has opened up to work for one of the leading group companies in the UAE. With exciting projects underway currently, as well as a vast and interesting collection of portfolio companies, the group can offer the right lawyer a wide and varied workload. With the chance to get involved in notable and iconic projects, the employee will have the chance to contribute to and manage some very interesting legal matters.

The General Counsel comes from a highly acclaimed international top tier law firm background and is looking for someone who shares the team's passion for providing quality advice and achieving excellent results. Within the legal team, this position will: assume primary responsibility for legal support on all real estate matters, in particular, sales and leasing contracts; community management initiatives; asset management, JOP issues and OA responsibilities; supporting the GC on strategic initiatives; supporting corporate business units across the portfolio with commercial matters, contracts and agreements; dealing with day to day non-contentious workload/working closely with and advising BUs on legal issues; making recommendations and preparing legal opinions and formal legal responses, and ensuring that the group complies with legislation, regulations and the requirements of professional bodies and other organisations.

This will be a great role for development and having the chance to report to, and work with, a senior and experienced top tier lawyer. Aimed at a 4-6 years PQE, this role will give the successful candidate an excellent chance to work with a level of autonomy, but also have direct access to a confortable amount of support. Its will be a great chance to develop a career in real estate/commercial with consistent regular, new and interesting project work. An excellent salary + extensive benefits package will be offered.

Requirements
The candidate should have 3-6 years PQE (Post Qualified Experience) within a real estate/commercial role.

The candidate should have gained Qualification within a common law jurisdiction (USA/AUS/UK/SA….).

The candidate should have at least 2 years experience working within the UAE, on UAE property law matters.

Fluent English language skills & impeccable English drafting skills.

Desirable:
Arabic language skills woud be advantageous but not essential.
