Service Management Specialist forms part of the dedicated 24/7 datamena Service Desk Support Team:
Provide support to Technical Support Desk and Technology Teams for troubleshooting, supporting and managing services for datamena clients
Support Technology in all service related matters, including the managing of disasters
Provide Hands & Eyes support to datamena clients residing in IMPZ and in Business Bay Datacenters, and meet SLA response times for handling any TT (trouble-ticket) or critical CR (change-request)
Support datamena Service Delivery Manager in project management and the turning-up of new datamena Clients, plus adding additional services for existing clients
Responsible for operational management and ensuring successful data-flow and inter-carrier traffic
Maintain as-built international and national connectivity documentation for datamena clients and services
Coordinate with international and national Carriers and Partners (e.g.: Equinix and DE-CIX) for service related matters
Support operational level planning and optimization of services, escalation and resolution for all service performance related technical issues.
Minimum Experience
5 to 8 years of experience in an Engineer or Field Technician role in telecommunication industry
Additional certification and trainings related to data network technology
Good understanding of data network projects and maintenance.
Minimum Education
Minimum Bachelor in Computer / Electronics / Telecommunication
Knowledge And Skills
Strong Knowledge of a broad range of telecommunications equipment
Experienced with experience of configuring and troubleshooting Cisco routers / switches and data network systems
Bachelor of Science in IT / Electronics / Telecommunication Engineering
Ability to use a variety of power and hand-tools, cleaners and test equipment related to the maintenance and repair of data network equipment
Excellent multitasking skills
Self-motivated and dynamic individual
Ability to work efficiently under pressure
Ability to deliver tasks assigned and within a specified time period
Able to adapt to a changing environment
Detailed working knowledge of backup technologies and recovery processes
Good reporting skills
