We are currently recruiting a CNN Digital, Senior Producer, News and Features with a strong background in digital media and a passion for News to drive its digital coverage from the Middle East. Dedicated to creating smart and distinguishing content for mobile, web and social, the Senior Producer will work with the CNN bureau in Abu Dhabi to co-develop a fully integrated newsroom. Able to work within a matrixed organisation, the successful candidate will work closely with regional TV editors, producers and correspondents, and will directly report into CNN International’s Digital operation in London.

Fluent in both English and Arabic (written and oral), the successful candidate will be an experienced journalist able to produce a variety of hard and soft stories across news and verticals like sport, travel and CNN Style as we extend our digital footprint across the Middle East.
The Senior Producer will also provide an essential link to the CNN Arabic team in Dubai. Collaborating, coordinating, sharing resources in order to improve our storytelling capabilities in both English and Arabic creating content from the region, for the region. A key appointment as CNN Digital builds up its global team, the successful candidate will be able to demonstrate a comprehensive understanding of the region and have the capacity to develop strategies to grow it.
Responsibilities Include:
Producing engaging content across breaking news and news events, news features and editorial-led commercial feature series on CNN’s digital platforms with a focus on mobile-first storytelling and digital video.
Work with newsgathering and digital video teams to increase the quality and quantity of digital video from the region.
Develop and work with contacts, sources, freelancers, social media as well as CNN newsgathering and regional bureau resources to bring new avenues of storytelling and deliver on providing expert insight into the region, its cultures, its influence and key issues that resonate with a local and international audience.
Day to day, the Senior Producer will coordinate and deliver digital Middle East coverage across the network.
The producer will use metrics to help refine editorial strategy and optimize content delivery across all our platforms and identify commercial opportunities.
